Since long ago, myths have played a significant role in the conscious and unconscious of nations. Humans have always been in contact with myths in their most basic contact with literature, i.e. children's stories and lullabies. The story of "Mahpishani" is one of the ancient folk tales that has been passed down from one generation to another, orally and in writing, throughout the life of Iranian culture and civilization. This story is full of Iranian myths and beliefs. In the current research, it was done using descriptive and analytical method and using library resources; We refer to the myth of the moon and the cow and their function and interaction in the story of Moonlight and discuss how these two elements advance the story and prepare the main character of the story in his journey to reach the stage of fertility and creation. Considering the representation of the moon and the cow as symbols of femininity and fertility, as well as the narrative base of the story of "Moh Pishani", these two archetypes are completely compatible with the narration of the story. The cow, which is the symbol of the myth of sacrifice, is actually a mother who has become like this. With his guidance, he leads his daughter to a well, which is a symbol of femininity, just as wells and caves have existed throughout history as symbols of femininity.
