The character is one of the most important elements of the story, without knowing it, you cannot get a proper understanding of the legend and story, and since among the types of stories, the knowledge of folk tales and legends is of particular importance, so the investigation and recognition of the types of characters in the folk tales of different nations It helps us in knowing the culture, way of life, history, geography and such issues. The present research examines the characters in the legends of two tribes, Bahlouli and Arabkhana, based on Carl Gustav Jung's theory of individuality. The main purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the personality structure of the heroes of these legends and how the process of individuality is manifested in them. In this regard, after collecting and carefully studying the legends related to these two clans, the main characters were analyzed according to the key concepts of Jung's theory, including conscious, collective unconscious, archetypes, shadow, anima and animus, and self. The results of this research show that despite the cultural and geographical differences between these two clans, there are common patterns in the individualization process of the heroes of their legends. Also, it was determined how these legends act as a tool to transmit cultural and social values as well as guide people in the path of self-knowledge and personality development.
