The thought of Ayn-ul-Qudāt Hamadani in the sixth century AH is based on intuitive and present experience, and he considers language to be inadequate in the face of truth; hence, he proposes language failure as an epistemological strategy. The necessity of this research is that a careful examination of this perspective can open new horizons in the studies of Islamic mysticism and the philosophy of language. The main question of the research is what position language failure has in Ayn-ul-Qudāt's thought and how it functions as an epistemological strategy? The research method is qualitative-analytical and based on content analysis of the original texts (introductions and writings) and secondary sources. The aim of the research is to explain the concept of language failure and to show its function in the transition from linguistic rationality to present experience. The findings show that the failure of language in Ayn al-Qud'at's works is not the end of knowledge, but the beginning of intuitive experience. The conclusion of the research is that this strategy is a critique of pure rationality and invites the audience to silence, gesture, and presence, thus opening a new horizon for understanding mystical truth.
